Enjoy the textures and organic form of this little basket study, made from an airplane cocktail napkin that I tore, twisted, and twined during a pretty stressful flight while the kid behind me played a shoot-things-and-blow-them-up video game at full volume behind me. The cord twisted beautifully and became remarkably strong with two strands combined. This technique, tried here for the first time, became the foundation for another piece in this collection, “Bread Basket”.
